Ask HN: Micro VC and Super Angel check sizes

I'm about to hit up some Micro VC and Super Angels. However unlike most startups I'd like to ask for smaller check sizes, rather than larger, because it decreases dilution and makes the deal close faster (perhaps).

If I were to ask for check sizes of approx $50k, how would that sound?

I'm talking Bay Area.
