I've gotta say: I live in Boulder and I'm part of the startup world here and it's a lively bunch of folks. They didn't really touch on that in the article. Lots of talent, good funding sources, lots to do and overall a great place to do a startup. I thought the article captured the good and some of the bad (there's a reason we have bumper stickers around here that say 'Keep Boulder Weird'), but was pretty accurate overall. If you're looking into TechStars, you've got 3 days left to get your application in.
Correction! Deadline is March 31st, Today! Sorry about that.
I applied to TechStars and even got an interview with one of their partners, so with a lot of luck I might get to go there for the summer :)

Boulder does seem like a pretty cool place though - I'd probably spend a lot of time biking and hiking if I ever go there. You can never really appreciate the awesomeness of mountains until you've lived in a flat place like Toronto.

Good article. Great pictures.

I'm a CS/ECE undergrad at University of Colorado at Boulder (CU) and love it. To be honest I'll second anything positive that's said about Boulder; great environment.

I graduated CS from CU. Great place, epic surroundings, depressing engineering building. Godspeed man...
