Coincidentally, that's the purpose of the Trump/Russia narrative. Also, the article holds great contempt for breitbart.com, which is notably not Kremlin-controlled. Having one foot in Europe, it's very obvious that the Trump/Russia narrative is meant strictly for domestic US consumption. Consider the German reaction to recent US sanctions against Russia. The narrative presented by liberal, European media is the exact opposite of the one offered, here. I'm not sure what to make of it beyond the obvious conclusion that media ought to get out of the business of imposing viewpoints.
