Again, Dr. Atkins was correct. More proof on the pile. Fat is not your enemy it is your friend. Carbs are the destructive force.
> Carbs are the destructive force.

That's not what this 'study' supposedly says at all:

>> "The message of our study is moderation as opposed to very low or very high intake in consumption of both fats and carbohydrates."

It's appalling how so many nutrition experts have gotten this so wrong for so long.

Follow the money. Farming subsidies, etc.

Notice the talk on American studies, because American corporate culture and hardcore greed has resulted in lots of fake, confusing and counter studies, protecting the meat and sugar (corn syrup) industries
Show me the study. I don't believe they did an actual clinical study of "135,000 people in 18 countries".
I eat what I like, when I like, but keep my dietary true north calibrated to low carb and do alternate day fasting and cardio when I want to drop a few pounds. Once your get used to it the tools are simple to use and don't require much will power to keep the body and vitals well maintained. Lost almost 15 lbs in Atkins induction in the early days and my cholesterol rebalanced to a very good hdl ratio.
That's good for you but I personally feel like crap in the gym without eating a decent amount of carbs in the preceding ~6 hours.
True. I started playing soccer and I've found that I can't cut carbs and have a useful amount of stamina at the same time. I've actually found the energy loss from a low carb diet is not as noticeable when just lifting weights though.
