I was under the impression that “nothing more than unreasoned executive whim” was all that is required for an executive order - this being one of the chief criticisms of the entire concept.

I am a white American and can't wait until we're a minority. But DACA and most of these largely open-boarder policies are a terrible idea.

It has nothing to do with race. It's about vetting to weed out criminals and people who can't support themselves. White Swedes can't smuggle themselves into the country either, nor can they fraudulently collect benefits.

Numerous states had already sued the Obama administration in the other direction. (DACA being unlawful in the first place) Due to those still-ongoing lawsuits, DACA was probably about to go down in flames already.
