Apple's questionable “innovator” title

A lot of people give Apple props for a lot of stuff, of all the usual things they mention, none I've come across was actually originated from Apple, so why is it that people think Apple is innovative? I get that I might not know because I'm ignorant, if so, some enlightenment is welcomed.
