Ask HN: Why can't I whistle in a hyberbaric chamber?

I recently went through Hyberbaric Oxygen treatments with my 17 mo son who was recovering from finger re-attachment surgery. Among other interesting phenomena, I discovered that I couldn't whistle by shaping my mouth in the normal way. Why is that?
