Atom uses a gigabyte of memory to open a 6 megabyte file (medium.freecodecamp.org)

There's a huge difference between allocated and committed memory. I skimmed through the post but couldn't find how the author arrived at the numbers.

Because of that the comparison may not be entirely correct.
