Interesting that it was the CIO. That's an encouraging sign. Perhaps now they're going to try to figure out how to make something people want, instead of continuing to sue them.
Yes, I wonder if they will eventually get involved with the Warner Music/Jim Griffin plan to charge for music at the ISP level. That's how most people I know would like to pay for music.
or maybe they are just trying to find a more efficient technical approach to tracking, catching, and suing people :)
