For the last 8 months or so I've been developing a project (using gpus) to detect faint moving objects- distant kuiper belt or planet 9 range. Recently we had an algorithmic breakthrough that may be a game changer in how fast we are able to search for this and other objects. Very exciting to read these updates.
Question.. if planet 9 exists.. how far along are the defenses against asteroids shaken loose by it passing through the oort cloud?
