If he'd stuck to the fact that standing for the anthem is a choice and that it's not correct to discriminate on that it'd been a better article, but he went on an unexplained tangent whether or not police shootings are increasing without a larger point being spelled out.

The larger point that is made to me is that not standing in order to protest police brutality is only acceptable if police brutality is actually a problem and not just one which is getting more press coverage.
