I like the idea. That said, I would suggest trying a different business concept:
Offer the app for free, and let users select from a huge list of TVs. Once they found a suitable TV for their place, redirect them to amazon (where they can buy the selected TV) through an affiliate link.
This way a lot of people can try your app and you potentially earn much more.
