Blockchain dev here: The only reason I downloaded the Linux wallet was because I saw there was an encrypt feature. Without that feature, I've seen wallets have issues. I'm not one to post comments on HN but the private blockchain approach seems to be a powerful trend in certain industries. Education is twisted and blockchain could change the way students learn. If AcademyCoin helps move edu towards blockchain, I'm interested in helping. I'm assuming this "membership program" approach mentioned in the whitepaper is to compete with Patreon (just raised $60M). As a user of Pateron, I am comfortable with additional income but I have no idea how this translates into USD. Need more info on how this actually produces monthly sustainable income...
