Ask HN: Are there any valid psychometric tests used in recruitment?

I've seen Myers Briggs and DISC assessments but neither seems to have much evidence behind it.

Are there any reliable, valid, peer reviewed, and widely respected personality tests which may be of use to employers and employees?

Or is it all just bunkum?
