Ask HN: Are shared offices good choice for startup?

I am looking at co-working / shared office as an option for starting my first startup. Should I go with it? While stand alone office is the best choice, they cost too high. We were planning to have an apartment for working and living and then this idea of shared offices came.What are the pros and cons ? Can anyone share their experience with me.
