Ask HN: How to prepare for a data engineer interview?

I'm a data scientist working in industry for about five years. I've got a pretty good grasp of stats and machine learning. Lately i've been thinking more about switching to data engineering.

I know sql and some nosql databases from our tech stacks, but i'm certainly no DBA. I'm worried i'm going to be unprepared for questions about schema designs, data wharehousing, scalability etc. We don't have data engineers in my current job, so if I want something (data) i just script some python to pull from wherever. I'm worried that doesn't leave me prepared for building data pipelines from scratch. Any good sites / advice to get up to speed?
