Tragedy in Texas

Some time ago, I thought that semiautomatic weapons should be illegal in cities and densely populated areas. After all, why would anyone use a weapon when the human population is an order of magnitude greater than the animal or vermin population? Some time ago I thought that semiautomatic weapons and ammo should have rfid chips in every part and every round. Tracking the weapons might then be as easy as tracking toll charges when you have an easy pass.

But even these measures would not have prevented the slaughter that just happened in a rural small town. And unfortunately, there is no failure analysis possible.
