Ask HN: How do I find someone to do UI/UX

I have a couple of side projects that I am working on for learning, fun and profit (but thats really secondary). I'm dreadful at UI/UX though. This becomes a huge problem when you consider that to a user the UI/UX IS the application, not all the backend logic/work. How would I go about finding someone that would want to work on these projects with me? How should I vet the people that I do find?
