Ask HN: Ryzen motherboard with true ECC support?

I'm considering building my home server with Ryzen, but information about ECC support is inconclusive: some motherboards only support non-ECC, while others claim "ECC in non-ECC mode" kind of support.

Which motherboard do I need to actually benefit from ECC features?
