Consensus analysis seems to be that biting the bullet on a narrowly tailored charge of lying means he's likely cooperating in a materially relevant way. The charge seems to be about items he (allegedly as of this comment) deliberately falsely represented which may have been caught on surveillance that the guy himself would have overseen or known about as NSA.
Also tons of speculation that he did it to keep his son in minimal trouble.
Because setting up a personal email server that got hacked is way worse than colluding with Russia (essentially an enemy nation) to steal the election of the Highest office in the land, using espionage and other factors...
I say this as a Bernie Support, who wrote him in, and I would've liked to have seen Clinton prosecuted for sure, but I think Trump has WAY bigger problems than Clinton ever had.
