Ask HN: Will self-driving cars lower the price in core Bay area cities?

Housing price is crazy in the core Bay area now.

After 5-10 years, will housing prices lower in prime areas such as Mountain View or Sunnyvale and rise in "bad" and distant areas because people can sleep or work in their cars, thus be tolerant to longer commute?

Heard someone currently just uses Tesla autopilot in highway commute and plays his cellphone. Will this be adopted by more people soon?
