How do you choose a prog. language to learn or the right development stack?
I decided to ditch Java in favor of C# and just when I started learning it, I read up on a few rants how choosing the language will lock me into Microsoft products forever, how they are evil etc. it seems people here really hate the company, but I thought that .NET Core was a step in the right direction still it seems most here are skeptical and everyone keeps promoting the new languages like Go or Rust or Elixir. Thing is I tried Go and it just seemed "meh", Rust is awesome but there aren't enough resources the learn it well and I'd like to make a website, for which I don't have to have the best performance and Elixir seems nice, but there aren't enough resources yet and I am not a fan of dynamic languages, although FP is awesome, anyway all these rants have made it so that I can no longer decide which language/development stack to base my further studies upon.
And now I'm stuck at being unproductive.
