Language 2.0 – Open-source, Machine Intelligent, an intriguing idea
We all try to solve this problem through translation, but it doesn’t work very well. Even chat-bots suck! Aren’t we going about this all wrong? Instead of trying to fit broken pieces in existing languages, just because we have a lot of people using them, why not just invent one that works for the modern world?
Before you laugh, let’s just think about it for a second.
With technology, a language can be anything. It can be the way we program, it can be semantic, it can be spoken and contributed to by anyone. It can grow!
We create a global movement where everybody contributes to form a new kind of creative expression. Open-sourced, decentralized, not-for-profit.
Think about it, even the challenges are interesting.
1. What will be the advantages of this new language? Will it be more precise? Faster? More beautiful? More expressive? 2. How do we create a smart set of rules, that form the basis of language - Can we make this better? 3. How do we create a tool, that then translates any 1.0 language to our 2.0 version. 4. How do we teach and learn this new language and reach a critical mass that then adopts it?
My proposal is to create a steering committee that helps solve some of the tough challenges around it. I’m creating a mailing list, If you’re interested, drop your details below.

[ 2.8 ms ] story [ 11.3 ms ] threadThe main innovation would be that it would be a language where you could read or write it before you knew how to speak or pronounce it. Each emoji could have a specific sound that your smartphone could tell you.
I think it would be appealing to people to be able to use a language without having to study / learn it first.
