Ask HN: Has you successfully migrated a desktop app to a Progressive Web App?

I'm looking to consolidate a web app and desktop app to have consistent UX and speed up deployments to multiple device types. PWA with a robust offline mode seems promising. Has anyone successfully pulled this off? Or seen this fail spectacularly?
