Ask HN: Security Vulnerability Scanning Tool Recommendations

Does anyone have any opinions on vuln scanning tools? ie. which ones are good and which ones to avoid and why. I'm looking for something that will work with Visual Studio (both C# and VB.Net), but think it would be good to hear opinions on tools that cover other IDEs/languages as well.
