I tried Glasswire a while back when it was still in beta because 360 Total Security had an ad about it for a while. The UI/UX was very nice but if I remember correctly I stopped using it (and 360 Total Security) because some articles were starting to pop up about their (potential) ties with the Chinese government... Might be a wild conspiracy theory but I'm not sure I am very comfortable with using fully closed source app that has never been audited by anyone to "secure" my computers. After a quick search I can't find anything about the teams behind these projects...
