Ask HN: Is Daily Skrum on an infrastructure team a bit excessive?

So, on our infrastructure team, all of our infrastructure lives on aws and is managed by code. It's a team of 6(including our manager). We cross collaborate on a lot of projects. Our boss is a super micro manager. Am I wrong to feel that its just flat out annoying & waste of time for us to be having a daily standup? We have to review each other's pull requests every other day and we cross collaborate on most projects anyway. I mean gosh, its just infrastructure and no one on the team is junior level. I've only been on the team for a couple of months now. My boss literally walks over to each of us individually all the time to know what we're working on, so I feel like these skrums are overkill.
