Ask HN: Best C++ introduction for a JavaScript programmer

My day to day job is primarily using Nodejs and React but my degree was in Embedded systems and i'm keen to get back to learning a lower level language such as C/C++ .

Any suggestions on some good sources to tap into to learn with and maybe some good introductory projects to drive that learning?
