Ask HN: Experience with New California Salary Law?

What have your experiences been with the new salary history law in California [1]? Are recruiters providing salary ranges for openings when asked, and are employers asking about salary history?

I was recently asked about my current salary in the later stages of an interview for a company based in San Francisco, which to my knowledge is a violation of the new law.
