Ask HN: Is the American health care system totally unreliable?

I had a friend who was complaining about chest pain and inability to breath well.

He went to hospital few times and the doctors said there is nothing and he is doing well.

He went the last time to hospital and still complained about the chest pain and almost freaked out to the doctor saying he is not at all able to breath well and is struggling. Seems like the doctors said they don’t see any issue and if there is any emergency he should call 911.

Not sure what to do he came home and next day got severe breathing difficulty and told his wife i don’t think i ll live longer and was struggling and his wife called 911. And when he reached hospital the doctors declared him dead.

They did not give the body for 1 week and did not give clear explanation of what went wrong, they said it may be asthma attack or may be flu.

I cannot believe people are living in a country with such a crappy and fraudulent medical system. I think we should all flee away from this country until some one get the courage to build a healthy atmosphere for people to live.

Have you come across such scenarios or what is your opinion about this?
