Ask HN: Inventory folder for software products

Dear #opensource friends,

It's time to have a folder for listing the info about components (icons, snippets, libraries) used inside software projects (FOSS, proprietary).

How about:

./inventory/items/acme.txt

./inventory/license_terms/license_xyz.txt

./inventory/inventory-list.txt

These folders would be automatically generated with human-readable info.
