A comprehensive reading list on self-driving electronics?

I want to build a self-driving car, actually to mod a current car to have self-driving capability.

I'm from an AI (artificial intelligence, in case) background, I can do most of the control on simulated environment, like using computer vision to recognize lanes, road signs, .etc then produce steering angle for the driving wheel in real-time.

However I don't know how to drive by wire, physically (or should I say electronically). Is there a compiled list somewhere I can teach myself on that? Say, which controller do I look for? how to connect it to my Jetson board?

And pardon me if the question is too vague/broad, but I need an entry point.
