Ask HN: Is there a payment gateway API for channeling money to non-profits

For legal reasons I cannot accept money for work I do. Instead I would like my customers to pay, say the EFF the equivalent amount in donation - in lieu of purchasing my product.

Is there a service API that lets me hook up the payment API to the non-profits account, at the same time being able to verify the conclusion of the payment.

This way we can 'charge' customers and validate my product without having to fight red-tape or do shady stuff. The idea is to switch over to a personal account at a later point.
