Ask HN: Who watches the watchers?

Recently, I submitted a link to Tweetage Wasteland, a blog talking about the cultural impact of today's social media. It promptly got banned:

No explanation was given, and no explanation was obvious. People seem as confused as I am.

I suppose it's not a big deal, but I would like to know what is and isn't banned on Hacker News. I suppose I just want this to a friendly community, and not a cold black box.
