Ask HN: Android vs iPhone app market

Does anyone know of any relatively recent figures (say within the last 3-6 months) of how the Android app market compares to the iPhone app market in terms of number of downloads, average paid for an app, etc.?

I saw a relatively recent estimation of the iPhone app market (http://communities-dominate.blogs.com/brands/2010/06/full-analysis-of-iphone-economics-its-bad-news-and-then-it-gets-worse.html), would love to see something similar for Android.

I expect that the Android market is currently much smaller, but I'm wondering if it's catching up or being left behind...
