Ask HN: How do you organize all of your life's knowledge and todos?

I have a long todo list of books to read, classes to take, videos to watch etc... along with years of notes from the same.

Right now its all a group of text files on GitHub, but I was trying to find a better solution. I had used evernote in the past but didn't care much for the interface.
