Ask HN: Has anyone here experimented with Numenta's NuPIC?

It appears to be an incredibly fascinating concept yet I've been struggling to find any tried and tested applications of the technology.

I figured this would be a good place to find out considering the amount of people here who completely outstrip my own intelligence levels!
