Ask HN: Are there any Kdb+/q developers here?

I'm a recent graduate and I've been given the chance to take a junior Kdb+/q developer role. It seems seems like a pretty interesting but very niche area to be in and there's not a huge amount of relevant information about these types of roles available online so I was hoping I might find some more experienced kdb+/q developers here for some advice. My main concern is what the job market is like for kdb+/q engineers with a few years experience. I'm not sure I want to pigeonhole myself into a niche area that I will struggle to find a job in sometime in the future. I'm also interested in hearing what the salary is like for experienced kdb+/q developers. The starting salary for this role is nothing special but I've heard it can rise pretty quickly with experience.
