Ask HN: What to do with year off

I currently work full time in a job with nothing to do with developing or computers in general.

Part time around family (11yr old & 2yr old) and work I have been studying a computer science degree.

Due to the stresses of full time work and family I'm taking a year away from the degree for a break but also because I want to actually get to know some of the technologies I've learned about.

I'm definitely going to learn more about html, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. I want to learn more about python too.

Im wondering what else I should look into or any recommendations you might have? I'm definitely going to go back over data structures and algorithms too.
