Ask HN: How do you monitor uptime/correctness of your APIs?

Currently I'm using status cake to ping a login request on our API to ensure it's up and reasonably functioning. I'm also using sentry for logging exceptions on the backend.

I'm curious as to how others are monitoring and ensuring correct responses from their APIs?
