Ask HN: From industry to teaching?

I've been working as a software engineer for some years now. I was offered a part time lecturer position at my alma mater for the Fall semester.

I'm super excited about the idea of teaching, but I've no idea how to be a good teacher (or how to teach for that matter).

Anyone around here has been on the same position? If so, Could please talk about what were your biggest challenges? Any advice?
