Ask HN: How valuable is having a technical blog for hiring engineers?

I'm currently in the process of doubling our engineering team from roughly 30. I'm trying to expand our funnel as much as possible and I'm wondering if anyone has had lots of qualified candidates apply to their companies because of a strong technical blog.
