Why not, Nobel Peace Prize lost its value decades ago. Nobody respectable in the intellectual circles gives any attention to it. They gave one to Obama, give it to Trump too.
Sure, let's award a deranged lunatic who has stoked fear in over half the globe for his unhinged public comments on Twitter.
President Moon, state under oath ONE contribution Trump made to the peace treaty negotiation. JUST ONE. That is enough of an acknowledgment. A Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Trump would be an INSULT to all prior Peace Prize awardees.

Trump called out China's continued coal imports from North Korea in a manner that threatened China with loss of face on the world stage. For the first time ever, China enforced their embargo. The North Korean regime rapidly changed its tune.
Investing in a belief system stipulating that Trump can never accomplish anything makes it increasingly difficult to explain or comprehend the world around you. If you apply more logic and less emotion when forming a world view, you'll find that you are happier.
As several people have already pointed out, there is almost no argument that can be made against giving it to him that isn't invalidated by Obama receiving it. That is the problem with turning everything into a statement of political ideology; the thing looses it's value. Instead of centering our identities around ideas, we have started centering them around people and parties.
People forget, but there was a time people would be members of the NRA and the ACLU. Where a person could support gay rights, and support religious objections...
We have reached the point we're, in politics, we don't care how we occomplish our goals; only that we get what we want from the system.
If Moon truly did say that, I think it would be farcical to give Trump the award. It's not clear that Trump's actions were decisive in creating this climate of peace between the leaders in the north and south.
Furthermore, even if his actions were decisive, his behaviour at home and abroad shows he brings significantly more division than peace to the world.
Everyone's so hung up on Trump that they forgot this is actually about Moon (and the two Koreas). Moon found out that Trump has a huge ego, and he's playing it to benefit his own agenda, which luckily happens to be peace in Korea. Hey, cut us some slack, this is how diplomacy works, and it's not like we're invading Crimea or something.
Do you guys think Moon actually gives a damn about who's getting the Nobel Peace Prize?

I think the whole thing can rightly be considered a joke at this point.

Turn away Jewish refugees from Nazi death camps - win a peace prize. (Cordell Hull)
Repeatedly refuse peace, call for the destruction of Israel and slaughter of all Jews - win a peace prize (Yasser Arafat)
Promote a war that appeared to have served no purpose than cause anguish - win a peace prize (Henry Kissinger)
I think we need two prizes, one for those who contributed and one for those who we hope might learn basic ethics.
