True FastCGI for PHP 5.3 - benchmarks and two-fold productivity increase (phpcamp.net)

Starting with PHP 5.3, the language is finally ready for work in FastCGI mode. I decided to test it in order to estimate its potential. The article contains a description of usage of this technology, difficulties I had to get over and a few benchmarks that demonstrate the possible effects of changing over to FastCGI.
