Ask HN: Tricking your employer into buying you an SSD

Any ideas on how to do this? I feel like it would speed up vim very much so, we have a very large code bases and a service oriented architecture so I find myself hopping around a lot.

How do I convince them to buy me an SSD? And not just any SSD, a non-apple SSD, because they suck? (We all have macbooks)
