Selling ad space on ebay?

Someone suggested in a thread here to sell advertisement space on eBay. Is that in compliance with eBay's rules for forbidden items?

I couldn't find it on eBay's help page, but I have read before that eBay's rules on selling "virtual" goods have become very stringent lately.
