Maybe it'd make more sense if it was rephrased as "questioning what some consider to be truth or consider to be reality", because after questioning them you might find out they're not really truth or reality.
Even if what you're questioning turns out to be really true or really real, there could be a benefit to questioning it, for by questioning something one could come to understand it better, or understand why it is the way it is, or why people believe it.
