Audm (YC S17) is hiring an Android developer
Our Android app will start out as a ~clone of our iOS app, and it'll get thousands of paid subscribers as soon as it's released. Then we'll start cranking on a ton of brand-new functionality (most of the Audm product vision is still under wraps).
The work we do at Audm is awesome. Every day is an active partnership with The New Yorker, The Atlantic, WIRED, and a ton of other awesome top-tier publications who trust us to take the very best of their longform writing and transform it into something even better. Our customers are awesome, too; they have great taste and are eager to pay for great journalism when it's presented the right way.
Must-haves:
- Is familiar with the entire Android dev lifecycle. Can write+commit Audm's first lines of Android code and take the project all the way to release in the Play store. And then of course maintain the app and continue to develop it.
- Loves longform journalism as well as podcasts and/or audiobooks. This is the air we breathe as a company.
Nice-to-haves:
- Has experience with apps that monetize via paid subscription
- Has experience with audio apps
- Is based in NYC (this is only a nice-to-have; we will consider remote candidates)
Competitive compensation including equity, benefits, etc. etc. All the standard stuff for an early dev hire at a fast-growing startup.
Please email christian@audm.com. (Proper job posting via Greenhouse or a similar tool is coming soon!)
