Ask HN: Critical but abandoned 32bit Mac apps which will stop working post 10.14

MacOS 10.14 (Mojave) will be the last version to support 32bit apps including those which relied on the QuickTime framework. I'm fairly new to this ecosystem so wanted to know what apps will be missed and what alternatives exist for them.
