Thanks for the lib - have bookmarked it for a project I have in mind. Just wondering, where do you actually get the default currency formats from? Do you update your definitions if new currencies are launched etc?
Yes, we update these based on the CLDR by Unicode (more info available here: http://cldr.unicode.org/). They can be a little slow to update recent currency changes, so we will often add in more recent changes if we are made aware of them (usually someone will just open an issue on github)
